About work:

The Concertino for Chamber Orchestra is an adapted version of a composition of 1948, originally dedicated to the Czech Nonet. Ferenczy returned to it in 1973, re-instrumented it, having altered some passages adding them more expressive sound quality and balance in the dynamism of the wind and string ensembles. Of course, he also revised some other details. The work is composed on the principle of classic sonata cycle, concentrated in one movement with an introduction. In its new version, the work presents Ferenczy's sense of contrast and variable employment of concertante build-up.
