She is generally perceived not as a vocalist, but as a songwriter who presents her own works to her audiences, in order to appeal to their tastes and above all, to pass on her convictions. On her journey, the most natural path led to the cabaret style, which she was attracted to as a conservatory student. Girlish themes full of compassion and sensitivity - and later on, more mature, feminine subjects – are the mainstay of her work. Although she has never tried to imitate her heroes, neither has she concealed her sincere admiration for the artistry of "the good old times", especially the 1930s. Her idols were Greta Garbo, Marlena Dietrich, and Edith Piaf. The artistic methods of expression that these world famous stars had at their disposal was very inspiring for her. She was equally inspired by the artistic perception of the theatre and concert stages at that time - which, with its almost magical contrasts of light and shade, created a unique atmosphere, as if predestined to depict the most delicate feelings and the most complex human dramas…
She was always fascinated by simplicity and clear lines, and the timeless phenomenon of black-and-white. This is certainly one of the reasons why she likes to employ, as she has said, "old tricks with light and black-and-white". And they are generally seen in the places where she performs.
