The artistic activity of Elena Matušová is closely related mainly to the Choir of Lúčnica Ensemble. In 1987, during her studies, she became assistant conductor, since 1998 was a conductor, and since 2003/2004 season she became the artistic director and conductor of Lúčnica Choir. With this ensemble she has attended hundreds domestic concerts and a large number of international competitions and festivals (Pyongyang, Seoul, Tours, Middlesbrough, Mar del Plata, Jerusalem, Ciudad de México, Barcelona, Maribor, Bergen, Isla de Margarita, Sardinia and others).

She is regularly invited to perform at renowned domestic festivals such as Bratislava Music Festival and others. She cooperates with many Slovak and Czech orchestras and ensembles on scenic and concert performances of operas and vocal-instrumental works (the Opera Orchestra of the Slovak National Theatre, State Opera Banská Bystrica, Virtuosi di Praga, Pilsen Philharmonic, Cappella Istropolitana, Solamente Naturali and others). She also cooperated with former Chamber Opera Bratislava and Slovak Philharmonic Choir. She has rehearsed and recorded a number of choir recordings into musicals, and cooperates in recording choral movie music for Slovak and Foreign Companies.
