She was a regular guest at important opera stages (La Scala in Milan, Covent Garden in London, in Zurichu, at the Metropolitan Opere in New York etc.) and at many prestigious festivals. She collaborated with the best-known conductors of our time, such as Herbert von Karajan, Leonardo Bernstein etc. She was a sought-after performer for concert and chamber singing.

There is a yearly concert in Bratislava in her honour, “Hommage a Lucia Popp”.
