He has played in orchestras in the State Opera in Banská Bystrica, the Opera of the Slovak National Theatre, Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra.

He plays early music in the ensemble Musica Aeterna as its member and also as a soloist, but he cooperates also with other ensembles of early music: Wiener Akademie (Martin Haselbock), Ars Antiqua Austria (Gunar Letzbor), Solamente Naurali (Miloš Valent), The Czech Ensemble Baroque (Roman Válek).

He is a lecturer of Summer School of Baroque Music in Holešov (Czech Republic).

Ján Prievozník is a popular chamber player, as a member of chamber ensembles he presented himself at major stages and festivals at home and abroad, and attended concert tours in Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Poland, Hungary, but also in Mexico and Guatemala.
