Marta Beňačková's work was initially dominated by concert singing with wide repertoire of songs, oratorial and vocal symphonic literature from the Baroque until the present (soloist of several chamber ensembles and orchestras). She currently regularly collaborates with major orchestras such as the Slovak Philharmonic, Czech Philharmonic, Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, Prague Symphony Orchestra FOK and others, and chamber ensembles and prominent conductors.

Her most important opera characters include Ulrica (A Masked Ball), Azucena (The Troubadour), Orlando (Orlando Furioso), The Countess (The Queen of Spades), Witch (Rusalka), Grandmother Buryjovka and Kostelnička Buryjovka (Jenufa). As a guest she performed at the opera stages: Opera of the Slovak National Theatre, National Theatre Prague, National Theatre Brno, Staatsoper Wien, Theatre Chatelet Paris and many other opera houses abroad (Japan, Spain, Italy).
