State Conservatory in Prague (conducting – Zdeněk Chalabala, choir conducting – Vojtěch Bořivoj Aim, solo singing – Běla Chalabalová-Rozumová), simultaneously seminars in musicology at Charles University in Prague

assistant to the conductor Z. Chalabala in Theatre of the Land Opera Ensemble in Ostrava (today the National Moravian-Silesian Thearte)

conductor of the opera in the Town Theatre in Ústí nad Labem (today the South Bohemian Theatre of Opera and Ballet)

Viktor Málek has been a guest at the National Theatre in Prague, National Theatre in Brno, etc. He has collaborated with Czechoslovak Television in Bratislava (series of TV opera productions) and with Czechoslovak Radio in Bratislava.
