He was engaged in the research of music monuments and sources of Slovak musical culture (collection, protection, processing and disclosure) as historical library collections in Matica Slovenská, coordinating gifts or purchases of the estate of composers, musicologists, collectors of folk songs, folklorists, archives of music societies, institutions, antiques stores, church lofts and others. He co-worked on the documentation processing of musical estates and archival funds which were issued under the series Funds of Literary Archive of Matica Slovenská (1964 – 1990), from which came the inventories of Viliam Figuš-Bystrý, Miloslav Francisci, inventory documentation of music in the Roman Catholic church in Banská Štiavnica, music from the library of Zay counts in Uhrovec and later he processed the thematic catalog of the composer Tibor Andrašovan. As part of the series Monumenta Musica Slovaca (Facsimile) were issued a collection of manuscripts: Dance and Song Collection from Uhrovec, 1730 (edited by Emanuel Muntág, Matica Slovenská, Martin, 1974) and Dance Collection from Uhrovec 1742 (edited by Mária Jana Terrayová, Matica Slovenská, Martin, 1990). In the years 1976 – 1980 he dealt with the issue of documentation processing of musical sources and transcribing of Slovak Folk Songs by computer technology in the Project of Rewriting Folk Songs in the Archives of Matica Slovenská by Computer Technology.

In Matica Slovenská he organized scientific seminars and conferences, e.g. Music and Computer, about work of composers Ján Levoslav Bella, Viliam Figuš-Bystrý, Mikuláš Schneider-Trnavský, Mikuláš Moyzes, Miloš Ruppeldt, Ján Valašťan-Dolinský and others. Since 1994 as part of the Music Department of Matica Slovenská he has organized a national competition of Matica Slovenská choirs (1996 – 2004), Workshop for Choirmasters (1997 – 2004), Chamber Music Courses (Komárno, 1998), a research seminar Music in Banská Bystrica during Dr. Štefan Moyses (1997) and others.

He is compiler and founder of the brochure Music Archive in Matica Slovesnká (1974 – 1994). He is an author of musical documentaries (TV, radio, theater, program notes) about personalities of Slovak Culture: composers (Mikuláš Zmeškal, Viliam Figuš-Bystrý, Šimon Jurovský), Slovak painter Martin Benka, as well as author of scripts to the expositions (Choir Tatran, Viliam Figuš-Bystrý, Gejza Dusík, Tadeáš Salva).
