"Piaček’s interest as a composer centres on multimedia projects, synthetically combining musical expression with elements of naive theatre (Corrado, 1993; !AHORA FUERA DE BURLAS!, 1994). In his compositional undertakings he takes his bearings from the principle of play, using techniques of collage, citation, and allusion to the sphere of “un-serious” musical culture (film music, pop music). He himself appears in his projects as a multi-instrumentalist and performer who directs the study of the work and its stage presentation. These ideals have led him to cooperate closely with artists from other art branches (theatre, visual art). One may regard as his greatest success the 1st Prize awarded to his Flauto dolce ’91 at the 13th competition for composers of electro-acoustic and computer music at Russolo-Pratella 1991."
