Mária Henselová has attended international performance courses in the following cities: Brno, Czech Republic (under James Griffith), Piešťany, Slovakia (under Peter Mikuláš and Jelena Obrazcovová), and Bern, Switzerland (under Brigitte Fassbaender).

Henselová focuses upon solo concert pieces and opera. As a soloist, she has worked with domestic orchestras and chamber ensembles, as well as with foreign orchestras (the Opera Orchestra of the Prague National Theatre and Musica Bohemica). She has played at festivals in many Slovak towns and abroad (the international Czechoslovak festival of ancient music in Prague, the Festa della Musica in Rome, the Concierto Extraordinario de Primavera in Barcelona, and the Lange Nacht der Music zu Ehren der zukünftigen EU-Staten in Vienna). She has performed live solo concerts for Slovak Radio (2000) and ORF television (2002).

In 2005, she started working in the field of education.

In 2010 she founded a private singing school Mariael. She organizes and leads performing master classes and since 2012 cooperates acts as vocal couch for music productions of artistic agency UnLimit.Me in London.
