In the background of the Hugo Kauder Trio is an effort of performers to bring works of persecuted and unknown composers of Jewish origin whose music after the 2nd world war fell into oblivion. The name of the trio is inspired by meeting with the reference of Jewish composer Hugo Kauder, who in the ‘30s of the last century was fleeing from Nazi persecution.

Premiere concert of the ensemble with works of August Klughardt, Jevgenij Iršai and Hugo Kauder was held in May 2009. Since then the trio introduced itself in numerous concerts at home and abroad:

2010, 2010 – concerts in Stuttgart (Marmosaal, Liederhalle)

2012 – concert within the cycle of chamber concerts in Slovak Philharmonic with works of composers Robert Kahn, Ladislav Kupkovič, August Klughardt and Charles Martin Loeffler

2013 – Haigerlocher Schlosskonzerte, as well as performing at the festival Viva Musica! in Bratislava

2014 – Concert Tour on the East Coast (USA)

2015 – Hohenloher Kultursommer
