The minister removes the director from the office, to which she responds with her last lamentation. The minister then transforms her into the \"stairs of knowledge\", which the new director uses to climb up, who receives an unlimited and lifelong right to head the institution.
The story takes place in a developed phase of a new era of mankind, \"Second Middle ages\" (year 2146). Symbols of austerity – the basic fabric of the Middle ages (wood, stone, fire, geometry, mysticism) – combine with sci-fi notions about the functioning of organic materials and changed rules of gravity (illogical, from our contemporary view, arrangement of windows, ceiling and walls, hovering objects, unusual lighting of the room). The poetics of noir, darkness and mystery of the future is mixed with the Kafkaesque poetics of performance and design of a present-day public institution. The hierarchical, untouchable and bureaucratic institution has survived and operates in the Second Middle ages according to basically the same rules as today.

\n        (author, in: CD booklet \"Eva Šušková : secret VOICE electric\", Real Music House 2393-007-2, p. 15.)
\n
\n        \n\n        \n
\n"}
