It usually refers to mountain climbing, even though it may also have some more metaphorical meanings. The metaphorical \"mountain\" here is that of the Austro-German tradition (hence the German title), present in a few distant echoes of Bruckner, Brahms or Berg. Yet, these echoes gradually fade away, giving way to a slowly emerging new perspective.
\r\n
Note: The opening passage of Part III (m. 103-107) quotes from the stones in the streams / the space on the ground where we lay composed by Rufus Isabel Elliot. Also, the techniques, subsequently used in the violin part, were directly inspired by their use in the composition mentioned above.
\r\n
RK, May 2024

\n        \n
\n        \n\n        \n
\n"}
