{"content":"\n
\n        \n        About work:
I wrote the first version of Memento immediately after the tragic death of Miroslav Filip in a span of four days and nights in summer 1973. Later I realized that this music (or a dispute with the dead if you want) is extremely dense and so I started again. During the next eight months or so, I wrote a score which together with the initial forms – „arguments“ – contains also „comments“. I didn´t investigate, whether the resulting form can be defined by any of the formal analysis criteria: I feel at least (and I wish it were so) that the form has its logic. I declare ex post that the material of this composition varies between extremes – especially as fara s complexity is concerned. These swings and the random character of the form are perhaps the connection with the non-musical sphere which evoked this music.

\n        (author, in: Bulletin Melos-Ethos 1993, p. 25)
\n
\n        \n\n
\n
First performance in Slovakia
\n                \n                \n                22.04.1976,\n                Concert Hall of the Slovak Philharmonic,\n                Bratislava,\n                SK\n\n
Performers: Slovak Philharmonic, Bystrík Režucha (dir.)\n
\n\n\n
\n
\n"}
