Piano aquarelles What the Children Told Me (1964) are the composer´s reminiscences of children´s world. As they were composed after great operatic and orchestral opuses, they can be taken as the author´s desires to present short programmatic forms. Piano aquerelles are music drawings, miniatures in which the composer confesses of his love of children and admiration of the fairyland of youth. Not so high technical demands do not limit composer´s fantasy at all – on the contrary, the more sober use of technical meanings is counter-balanced by new creative power – the pleasure of inspiration.
