{"content":"\n    <div class=\"detail-content\">\n        \n        <strong>About work:</strong> <p>Bella's String Quartet in B Flat Major is the composer's last major quartet work. It was most probably written in Hermannstadt (now Sibiu) in 1887. The work is a demonstration of the composer's mature composition style, its scoring drawing on a balanced contrapuntal movement of all the voices. The work's architecture inclines to the stabilised archetype of the classical period, and its equilibrium speaks rather of a lyrical essence than of the drama which marked Bella's previous string quartets. The features of a Romanticism tinged by the Classical are here beginning to prevail in Bella's chamber output.
