{"content":"\n
\n \n About work: Caprice for solo violin is a transcription of my virtuosic composition for viola bearing the same name. Its extreme technical diffuculty was a wish of the interpreters of its both versions – Peter and Marek Zwiebel who were provided with the opportunity to both realitze their exceptional musical feeling and present their own technical virtuosity. The demanding character of the viola version causes amazement and collides with the traditional view on viola as an instrument that has to face the jokes made at its expenses. The version for violin is slightly easier, full of panache, and it partly acknowledges the classical legacy of the Paganini’s or Wienawski’s Caprice. Despite seemingly undemanding and more peaceful introduction it is full of many ideas of virtuosic performance contrasted by the play of colors. From this point of view, Marek Zwiebel is a perfect interpreter of the piece, as his personality combines intellect, musicality, humbleness and dispassionate point of view.
\n        (author, in: CD booklet \"Contemporary Reflections\", Hevhetia 2011, HV 0045-2-331)
\n
\n        \n\n
\n
First performance in Slovakia
\n                \n                \n                25.02.2009, \"One Year After\",\n                Small Concert Hall of the Slovak Radio,\n                Bratislava,\n                SK\n\n
Performers: Marek Zwiebel (vn)\n
\n\n\n
\n
\n"}
