Rado Šašina – double bass virtuoso, Professor at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava – is a member of international juries of double bass competitions, and lecturer at international master courses in Europe and in the USA. His extensive concert repertoire includes works of old masters (on the original instrument of 18th century – violon), through virtuosic compositions of Romanticism to the present; Several Slovak composers have dedicated their works to him.

Dana Šašinová-Satury – laureate of international piano competitions, she performs in many European countries and USA. She records for mass media and music publishers. She is a popular concert partner of major soloists – singers and instrumentalists at home and abroad. With her husband Radoslav they established Duo Šašina with whom they perform an extensive repertoire of classical and contemporary Slovak works for double bass. This repertoire she also applies to the area in cooperation with others, especially foreign double bass players (Miloslav Gajdoš, Czech Republic; Paul Erhard, USA; Irena Olkiewicz, Poland; Klaus Trumpf, Germany; Petya Bagovska, Bulgaria).

Šašinas performed together at festivals Bratislava Music Days, Melos Ethos, New Slovak Music, at the festival Allegretto in Žilina, many concerts in Slovak cities, as well as in Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, USA and Norway. At 6th International Double Bass Symposium in Colorado (USA, 1998) Duo Šašina introduced itself in a separate recital with a program made from Slovak works.
