Among the Radio_Head Awards 2025 nominees for the Record of the Year 2025 in the Classical Music category (jurys’ category) there is a CD albums released by the Music Centre Slovakia - which makes us very happy!
CD Sacred Music in Slovakia from Sources of the 11th–17th Century presents chants of Gregorian plainchant from manuscript codices dating from the 11th to the 16th centuries performed by Zuzana Badárová (soprano), Eva Šušková (mezzosoprano), Tomáš Šelc (bass), Juraj Kuchar (tenor), Matúš Šimko (tenor), Júlia Urdová (vocals, viola), Radka Kubínová (flute), Michal Klas (violin), Ján Prievozník (violone) and Sylvia Urdová (organ).
As a small taste you can listen to the Sanctus - Omnes unanimiter (Gregorian chant with trope, Gradual from Páty, 16th century).

The public competition Radio_Head Awards 2025 is announced by Slovak Radio (STVR) and is aimed at promoting Slovak musical works and their presentation to the wider public. The jury voting in the category Record of the Year / Classical Music consists of representatives of music journalists, promoters and editors of Radio_FM. The competition takes place in two rounds of voting (19 January - 13 February 2026 and 16 February - 8 March 2026) and the results will be published in a live broadcast of the awards on 27 March 2026 on radiohlavy.sk.
