Dramaturgically attractive programme of the concert will open with the sparkling "Simple Symphony " by the English composer Benjamin Britten. From the Slovak works, the young musicians will perform Four Pieces for Strings by Petr Zagar. Leoš Janáček's charming Suite at the end of the concert will also symbolically commemorate the ending of the Year of Czech Music. The artistic director of the National Youth Orchestra of Slovakia will be Igor Karško, renowned Slovak violinist and pedagogue, professor at the University of Music in Lucerne (Switzerland), who - together with Matúš Veľas, 1st oboist of the Slovak Philharmonic - will also appear as soloist in Johann Sebastian Bach's Double Concerto.
