Paris in "La Belle Époque"
In this year, the 100th anniversary of the death of the great French composer Erik Satie (1866-1925), pianist Maxime Zecchini will take us through the work of the exceptional French musician and his artistic friends, who are also undoubtedly among the greats of French music, in his recital. Erik Satie's famous Gymnopedies, Gnossiennes, waltzes and preludes meet Debussy's preludes, Francis Poulenc's improvisations, the performer's adaptation of Ravel's Concerto for the Left Hand and Germaine Tailleferre's Romance.
The concert will take us back to French music and the "cultural Paris" of the late 19th and first half of the 20th century, and the audience will hear key piano works from the period known as "La Belle Époque".
The event opens a series of concerts of the Domus & Hortus Artis festival, which in 2025 commemorates the great personalities of French music and their significant influence on other European cultures, including the Slovak one.
Tickets priced at 12 EUR / 8 EUR (students, seniors) / 5 EUR (disabled) are available in the Ticketportal network in the form of a "hometicket".
Pre-sale ends at 12:00 on the day of the event. Additional tickets will be available 30 minutes prior to the concert at the venue, subject to availability.
The concert is organised by the French Institute in Slovakia in cooperation with ALBRECHT FORUM and the Domus & Hortus artis festival.
