Luca Cori

Italian composer. Cori studied counterpoint and harmony at the Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi in Milan (Dario Maggi, Davide Anzaghi), as well as analysis and instrumentation with Paolo Castaldi. There he also studied composition with Giacomo Manzoni and with Azio Corghi, where he earned his diploma summa cum laude in 1992. In addition, he attended masterclasses in composition in Milan (Franco Donatoni, Brian Ferneyhough, Gérard Grisey), Siena and Rome. He taught composition in Matera, Perugia, Palermo, Mexico City, as Professore in Trento, Trieste, Barcelona, New York, Lexington, and others.  He has worked as an analyst and essayist with a specific focus on contemporary music. He has taught composition at the Conservatorio Arrigo Pedrollo in Vicenza since 2014. His publishers are Casa Ricordi, Edizioni Suvini Zerboni, Universal Edition, and Ut Orpheus.
