{"content":"\n    <div class=\"detail-content\">\n        \n        <strong>About work:</strong> <p>The Work <em>Canonical Variations on a Chorale</em>, which was commissioned by the Music Centre, has continued to occupy me. When a further commission came for a \"concerto grosso\", I realised that, taking account also of my waning strenght, it would be sufficient to put a third solo instrument along with the existing two (the double bass and hapsichord). Accordingly I chose the guitar.
