Sometimes it happens spontaneously at the beginning, it’s the fundament for everything else. Sometimes happens along with composition work, but often is rises up just after finishing of the work or after some time as well.
In case of Nice, its title rose up as the reaction for ordering (Nice music fest in Banska Stiavnica). Later more associations and meanings came around and they naturally were followed into thinking about what does really „nice“ mean..
The basic material was derivated from 12-tones row which was used by Webern to compose colourful but with ascetic sound Symphony op. 21. Other part of sound vision is bound by rough expression of Xenakis’s compositions. The way how I work with material as well as a sound vision, which, I guess, finally dominated, refers to Cage, Feldman or Brown.
Let’s say, it’s „music about music“ of these composers, who are not alive anymore, but the word „nice“ is enriched with completely new dimensions by their mastery.

\n (author, in: booklet of the CD \"Nice\", Pavlík records PA 009-2/9, p. 15.)
\n
\n        \n\n
\n
First performance in Slovakia
\n                \n                \n                17.10.2009,\n                Evenings of New Music,\n                SK\n\n
Performers: Fama Q\n
\n\n\n
\n
\n"}
