{"content":"\n
\n        \n        About work:
The composition Locatelli – Caprice for solo violin and chamber orchestra was composed to order for the violinist Marek Zwiebel who had an accompaniment to the Locatelli’s Caprice D Major No. 23 “Labyrinth“ from L’Arte del Violino composed, that was similar to the present-day modern music full of new techniques and ways of playing an instrument. The character of the Caprice making rather a monotonous impression with little variations repeating over and over five or six bars and applying the arpeggio technique, is substantially changed when, suddenly, it is joined by the accompanying orchestra making various sounds, such as flageolet tones, sounds of the piano strings, combined sounds of the wind instruments and many more. While adhering to the tonal ground plan, an interesting connection between the past and the present is established that can be also observed by the attempts of other authors, such as Salvatore Sciarrino. There have been several attempts to compose an accompaniment to the popular Caprice, whether it be romantic instrumenting with a big orchestra of G. Rozhdestvensky for D. Oistrakh or the version for piano from H. Szeryng – in both cases, the authors composed an accompaniment to the original solo piece.

\n        (author, in: CD booklet \"Contemporary Reflections\", Hevhetia 2011, HV 0045-2-331)
\n
\n        \n\n
\n                \n
First performance abroad
\n                \n                24.04.2009,\n                Ost-West-Podium,\n                Kassel,\n                DE\n\n
Performers: Marek Zwiebel (vn), Quasars Ensemble, Ivan Buffa (dir.)\n
\n
First performance in Slovakia
\n                \n                \n                14.11.2009,\n                Melos-Ethos,\n                Mirror Hall of the Primate's Palace,\n                Bratislava,\n                SK\n\n
Performers: Marek Zwiebel (vn), Quasars Ensemble, Ivan Buffa (dir.)\n
The work was performed as an encore after the concert programme.
\n\n\n
\n
\n"}
