Zva 12-28 Band is a Slovak blues-rock band that played its first concert in 1990.
The founder and leader of the band is guitarist and singer Norbert Červenák, who is also the author of most of the group's original songs. His brother Ladislav Červenák plays the double bass, and Peter Krško is the drummer.
They regularly perform with a horn section led by saxophonist Ján Kopčák, featuring Michal Cálik on trumpet, Vladimír Trofimovič on trombone, and Kopčák on saxophone.
The band also occasionally collaborates with Polish blues guitarist Tomek Kruk.
During its existence, Zva 12-28 Band has received several awards, including the "Bluesman of the Year" award from the Slovak Blues Society, presented to Norbert Červenák for 2002. The entire band also received this award in 2007 and 2011.
They have won the public vote organized by the Bluesmusic.sk portal several times in the Most Popular Band category (2010, 2011, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019). In 2021, the same portal named them the most successful band of the previous decade.
They have released five studio albums and two live recordings: Live in Stará Pekárna in 2002 and the documentary DVD Live in Kazačok in 2012.
The group performs between 50 and 60 concerts each year, mainly in clubs and at festivals in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland, Austria, and Germany.
