Tibor Feledi Kairos Quintet is a jazz instrumental ensemble consisting of Tibor Feledi on keyboards, Michal Šelep on bass guitar, Lenka Molčányiová on alto saxophone, Juraj Dávid Raši on drums, and Michal Cálik on trumpet.
The ensemble’s repertoire consists primarily of original compositions and arrangements by bandleader Tibor Feledi. Since its formation in 2018, the group has performed not only at standalone concerts but also at music festivals such as Bratislava Jazz Days (Young Talents Stage), Mikulášsky Jazz Festival, United Islands of Prague Jazz, Oravajazz Festival, Zvuk for Štiavnica, and United Europe Jazz Festival.
In 2018, the group received the Jazz Album of the Year award at the Radio_Head Awards for their debut album Common Playgrounds. The album features original compositions inspired by the tradition of Slovak children’s songs, combined in an unconventional way with contemporary progressive jazz. As part of the project, they created the concert program Common Playgrounds in collaboration with the Children’s Choir and the Girls’ Choir of Slovak Radio, as well as a string quartet, and performed it at the Konvergencie festival.
A live recording of the concert was later released on a CD of the same name in 2023. In 2024, they released their second album to date, More=Less.
