Tomislav Jukić - tenor
Tomislav Jukić is a Croatian tenor distinguished for his victories in international vocal competitions, including the Mikuláš Schneider-Trnavský, Antonín Dvořák, and Stojan Stojanov Gančev. He has also been honored with special awards, such as engagements with the Slovak National Theatre, the Pilsen Opera, and the Jan Kiepura Artistic Director Award, granting him the opportunity to perform at the festival in 2024. Presently, he is portraying the character Goro in Puccini's "Madama Butterfly" at the SNG Opera in Ballet Ljubljana until the season's conclusion. Additionally, he is slated to participate as a soloist with the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra at the International Opera Festival Tino Pattiera in Dubrovnik. Tomislav is set to have a solo recital at the Allegretto festival in Žilina and Humpolc and he is scheduled to perform and record with the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra. One of his notable performances includes his role as the solo tenor in C. Monteverdi's "Vespro Della Beata Vergine," presented with the Croatian Radio and Television Choir and the Ensemble Concerto dei Venti under the baton of Tomislav Fačini. This performance took place at various venues, including the Croatian House in Split, the Theatre I. pl. Zajc in Rijeka, and the Lauba Hall in Zagreb, with a live broadcast on Croatian Radio and TV. In 2023, Tomislav made his debut in the production of Zagreb Music Academy at the National Theatre Zagreb under the direction of mo. Matija Fortuna, portraying Mercury in the opera "Amfitrion" by B. Papandopulo. His educational journey is marked by studies at the Zagreb Music Academy, where he is guided by Professor Martina Zadro. Tomislav has further refined his skills through masterclasses with esteemed singers such as Renata Pokupić, Dunja Vejzović, Nikola Kitanovski, Alexei Tanovitski, Snežana Nena Brzakovid, and conductor Mikhail Sinkevich. Born in Split, Tomislav's accomplishments reflect his dedicated pursuit of excellence in the art of opera and classical music.
