Guitar festival of J. K. Mertz is one of the most important events on the Slovak classical music festival scene and one of the oldest of its kind in the world. The 48th edition builds on a long tradition and the successes recorded in recent years. It will host artists from 8 countries - Brazil, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia. In addition to guitar recitals, chamber music programmes, guitar in combination with string quartet, voice, flute and bandoneon will be performed from 23 to 30 June. The concerts will take place in the most beautiful concert venues of the historic city centre, such as the Hall of Mirrors of the Primate's Palace, the Klarisky (Church) Concert Hall and the charming new concert space PONTON right on the surface of the Danube.

The event is part of the Bratislava city festival Culture Summer 2024.
