Latin American music is an essential part of the guitar literature. Like the Brazilian chôro or the Argentine tango, the Venezuelan waltz and the Venezuelan joropo are part of the rich South American culture. It is the indigenous music of Venezuela that is offered on the last evening of the Guitar Festival, whose protagonist is SILFREDO PÉREZ, a connoisseur of traditional Venezuelan music, player of the guitar, of a traditional Venezuelan instrument the cuatro, and a singer.
The concert is part of the 47th Guitar festival of J. K. Mertz. Organiser: Society of J. K. Mertz, Co-organiser: Bratislava Cultural and Information Centre. Part of the Bratislava City Festival Cultural Summer 2023.
