Peter Cardarelli is an American jazz saxophonist, composer, and educator who has become a significant figure on the Slovak jazz scene. He was born in Boston and began his musical career in the United States, where he performed with various jazz ensembles and shared the stage with stars such as B.B. King, Maynard Ferguson, and Kool & the Gang. In 1992, he visited Slovakia, where he met his wife Katarína from Banská Bystrica. After several visits, he decided to move to Bratislava in 1999, where he settled and began actively collaborating with local musicians such as Peter Lipa, Gabriel Jonáš and Andrej Šeban. In 2001, he founded the band Comfort Zone, which became known for its original approach to jazz. Cardarelli's music combines traditional jazz with elements of groove, rap, and other genres, as demonstrated by his 2005 album Knights of the Living Groove.
