While still a student Mázik conducted the State Philharmonic in Košice, where almost fifty symphony concerts were performed under his direction. As conductor of the Slovak National Theatre Opera he conducted tens of operas and ballet titles. He also conducted the Slovak Philharmonic and the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra. He furthermore collaborates with orchestral and theatrical bodies in Europe (Austria, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic), USA and Japan.  


Since 2006 he has completed tours in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, conducting more than 60 performances.

In 2004 he made his debut in the Kansas Wichita Grand Opera (state of Missouri, USA) with Don Giovanni. There also in 2005 he conducted Die Fledermaus, two years later Romeo and Juliet, in the 2007/2008 Masquerade, La Bohème and Faust, and in the 2008/2009 season the Barber of Seville. In 2009/2010 Donizetti’s opera The Elixir of Love was performed under his baton.
