In addition to his engagements in theatres, František Balún developed a rich concert activity (vocal-instrumental works) and interpreted vocal chamber vocal compositions, mainly songs and song cycles. He was a guest soloist at the Opera of Slovak National Theatre and State Opera in Banská Bystrica, Opera of Janáček Theatre in Brno and Opera of National Moravian-Silesian Theatre. Balún recorded for Slovak Radio and Slovak Television and regularly performs at various events and festivals at home and abroad (Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Hungaria, Poland, Ukraine and others).
