Martin Bako participated in international organ festivals at home and abroad. He cooperated with the Slovak Philharmonic, the State Philharmonic Košice and Slovak Sinfonietta Žilina. He is interested in organ improvisation, which is presented not only in liturgical playing, but also in recitals (improvisations on Via Crucis, musical comments to Lectio Divina in Bratislava Cathedral, etc.).
As an organ builder he was involved in the repair of major historical organs and also collaborated in the construction of a new cathedral organ with famous organ builder Gerald Woehl. He is a member of the board of the Society of Organ Friends and co-organizer of The Cathedral Organ Festival. He cooperates with the association of young artists, Harmonia Seraphica.
