Dagmar Podkamenská Bezačinská, soprano and pedagogue. She has collaborated artistically with several domestic ensembles: the Slovak Philharmonic, the Žilina State Chamber Orchestra, the Košice State Philharmonic, the Bratislava Folk Instruments Orchestra, the Kysucká Chamber Orchestra Čadca.
She has sung as a guest soloist at the Slovak National Theatre in Bratislava, the National Theatre in Brno at the Janáček Opera House, the Jonáš Záborský Theatre in Prešov and the State Opera in Banská Bystrica.
After her studies, she began to work as a teacher, first at conservatories (Žilina, Bratislava) and later as a teacher at the Academy of Performing Arts, where she is also the head of the Department of Singing. She has trained many singers who have become successful at home and abroad – Martina Masariková, Zuzana Šveda, Michaela Kušteková, Katarína Hano FLórová, Csaba Kotlár, Šarũnas Šapalas, Andrea Vizvári, Patrícia Malovec Solotruková, Radoslava Müller Mičová, Eva Vodilová Melichaříková, Marek Pobuda, David Harant, Martin Morháč, Veronika Bilová.
She use to be a chairperson or jury member in several national and international competitions (Iuventus Canti, Österreichische Jugendmusikwettbewerbe) and has been part of various international singing workshops (in Norway, Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, Germany) and courses (e.g. Schola Arvenzis).
