Alena Hučková has performed as a soloist with the Slovak Philharmonic, the Brno Philharmonic, the Orchestra of the Janáček Opera of the National Theatre Brno, and the Symphony Orchestra of the Bratislava Conservatory. Since 2015, she has been an external member of the Slovak National Theatre Opera Orchestra. She has collaborated with conductors such as Rastislav Štúr, Jaromír Krygel, Jakub Klecker, Dušan Štefánek, Peter Valentovič, Peter Breiner, Mario Košik, Michelangelo Galeati, Martin Leginus, and others.

 

She is a sought-after chamber musician and accompanist. In a piano duo, she collaborates with Vladimír Šranko. Together with clarinetist Juraj Pivoluska and vibraphonist Marián Michalec, she premiered works by contemporary Slovak composers Marek Piaček and Róbert Kraus. With Juraj Pivoluska, she has also performed in a piano trio alongside cellist Karolína Zívalíková – for example, as part of the "Sunday Matinée" concert series at Mirbach Palace (2015). She has also worked in a piano trio with violist Martin Ruman and cellist Lukáš Polák – in 2017, they performed at the Nitra Music Autumn festival, Bojnice Summer Music Festival, and the Sunday Matinée series at Mirbach Palace. Together with Martin Ruman, she also forms a chamber duo, regularly performing both in Slovakia and abroad. In September 2018, she appeared in a recital with violinist Pavol Bogacz Jr. in Shanghai. At the theater festivals Night of Theaters (2015) and Kračúň (2014), as well as at the student festival LEPfest (2013), she performed with singer Natália Jabůrková, presenting a program of chansons and songs (Édith Piaf, Hana Hegerová, and Marta Kubišová).

 

In the 2015/16 and 2016/17 seasons, she worked as a répétiteur for the Ballet of the Slovak National Theatre in Bratislava. Since 2015, she has been the resident accompanist for string and wind instruments at the Camerata Comorra International Performance Courses in Komárno. As an accompanist, she has participated in violin masterclasses led by Ilya Gringolts, Alexandra Soumm, Jindřich Pazdera, Midori Goto, and Dalibor Karvay as part of the Masterclasses of World Virtuosos project in Bratislava. Since 2018, she has been an external accompanist at the Academy of Performing Arts (VŠMU) in Bratislava.

 

As a piano teacher, she worked at the British International School Bratislava (2006–2010 and 2014–2015). At the Private Elementary Art School of Mgr. Radmila Chmelová in Brno, she taught piano and was a dance accompanist (2011–2012). Between 2012 and 2018, she worked at the Jozef Kresánek Elementary School of the Arts in Bratislava as a piano teacher, accompanist for string and wind instruments, and accompanist for the children’s choir Margarétka, led by choir director Jozef Chabroň.

 

She participated in masterclasses of the pianists such as: Monika Sikorska-Wojtacha, Zuzana Čižmarovičová, Matti Raekallio, Avner Arad, Jonathan Aner, Arkadi Zenziper, Balázs Szokolay, Alexander Strukov, Donna Lee, Annlynn Miller, Eduardus Halim, Richard Cionco, Yuri Blinov, etc.
