Quido Hölbling focused almost all his creative potential into playing in ensembles, even though he had the opportunity assert himself as a soloist. His passion for chamber music completely reclaimed the literature for violin duo. Anna and Quido Hölbling Duo was founded in 1969. This ensemble performed at all Slovak and number of foreign music festivals, e. g. Prague Spring, Salzburg Festival, also in many other European culture centers and over the seas.
In 1968 – 1970 Quido Hölbling was a member of the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra and in 1973 – 1980 played in Slovak Chamber Orchestra of Bohdan Warchal. He cooperated (even as a soloist) with orchestras Bratislava Soloists, Cappella Istropolitana (1988 – 1994 as concert master), Czech Chamber Soloists, Slovak Philharmonic, Slovak Chamber Orchestra, The Slovak State Philharmonic Košice and Slovak Sinfonietta Žilina.
He was a pedagogue of chamber music and founder of the course Orchestral Parts Playing at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava.
