Matej Kozub is a holder of merit and artistic scholarships: WANAS Vienna Philharmonic, scholarship of the Rectorate of University of Music in Vienna and scholarship of The Austrian Federal Ministry for Science and Education.

He attended performing master classes in Czech Republic, Austria and Finland under top soloists and pedagogues, for example Milan Etlík, Alfred Prinz, Howard Klug, Michael Lethiec, Charles Neidich, Francois Benda and others.

Matej Kozub is a laureate of international competitions in Italy, Austria, Poland, England and holder of numerous international awards for outstanding performances of contemporary and classical music. He is a soloist who cooperates with domestic and foreign chamber ensembles and orchestras (Arco Quartet, Japan, Porin Quartet, Slovenia, Societa Rigata, Slovakia, Albrechtovo kvarteto, Slovakia, Pierrot Lunaire Ensemble Vienna, Virtuosi di Vienna, Donauphilharmonie Wien, Bohuslav Martinu Philharmonic Zlín, Czech Republic, Ignaz Pleyel Jugend Symphonieorchester, Sinfonietta dell'Arte, Vienna Concert-Verein); he often records live for different radio stations abroad.

He also organizes musical events with international attendance (e. g. project Music Without Borders In the Heart of Europe). He is the head and artistic director of the festival of chamber music Ars Camera in Slovakia.

He also taught clarinet at Church Conservatory in Bratislava.
