Patrick Cibula is a Slovak violinist living in Austria.
He was born in Bratislava and, as an exceptional student, attended the violin class of František Török at the State Conservatory in Bratislava. He later studied at the Church Conservatory under Ján Gréner.
He completed his bachelor's degree at the Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität in Linz, where he continues his master's studies since 2025. Since 2023, he has also studied with Gerhard Fabian Marschner at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.
Patrick Cibula undertook private study with Dalibor Karvay, Christian Dallinger, Sandor Javorkai, and Anna Gutowska, and also received private lessons from Alexander Soumm, Anton Sorokow, Ulf Wallin, and Lothar Strauss.
He participated in several masterclasses led by Dalibor Karvay, Midori Goto, Maxim Brilinsky, Eugeny Chevkenov, the Janoška Ensemble, Sandor Javorkai, and Anna Gutowska.
He has performed solo concerts at festivals in Slovakia (Bratislava Chamber Guitar Festival), Croatia (Žuljana Music Summer), Austria (Musikfest Wien, Gutenstein Sommer), and Bulgaria (Plovdiv International Music Festival).
In August 2025, he performed with his brother Richard Cibula and the Cibula Chamber Orchestra at the Vienna Musikverein. He also appeared at the Church Conservatory’s annual concert at the Slovak Philharmonic in 2023.
He has performed in concert halls in Brussels (Pianos Maene), Budapest (Budapest Music Center), and Vienna (Ehrbar Saal, Billrothhaus).
Patrick Cibula is the co-founder of The Echoes Ensemble and the Cibula Chamber Orchestra. In 2025, he won the gold prize with The Echoes Ensemble at the VIII Internationales Musikfest in Vienna.
