Mgr. Miroslav Pejhovský was a Slovak musicologist, composer, pianist, pedagogue, and music publicist.

He studied piano privately with Elena Smidžárová and Miloš Váňa, and later with Roman Berger at the Conservatory in Bratislava (graduated in 1966). From 1966 to 1971, he studied Musicology at the Faculty of Arts, Comenius University in Bratislava. He completed his studies with a diploma thesis on the topic Theory of Composition by Johann Georg Albrechtsberger.

He worked as a teacher at music schools in Bratislava, Dunajská Streda, and Štúrovo. He served as an archivist at the Slovak Philharmonic and at the Slovak Music Fund, and also worked as an in‑house specialist lecturer at the cultural‑educational institution Osveta.

As an editor, he contributed to the production of radio programs, and as a music publicist, he wrote numerous articles and reviews for magazines such as Hudobný život, Literárny (dvoj)týždenník, Historická revue, and many others.

He was also the author of the book Zázračný svet opery (The Miraculous World of Opera, 2003).

As a composer, he created approximately 50 compositions; his most recently premiered work was Music for the Vernissage for solo flute, performed at the Nová slovenská hudba 2012 festival.
