Tužinský has engaged in opera, orchestral and choral conducting. He was assistant conductor at the Slovak National Theatre Opera; later he accepted a position in the Operetta in the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre in Ostrava and in the State Opera in Banská Bystrica. There he produced a great many works, principally of Italian operatic literature. In the Slovak National Theatre Opera he presented, for example, Beneš’s opera The Players in its Slovak premiere.
He has performed in many countries throughout the world (Germany, Italy, Israel, Hungary etc.) As teacher he worked at the J. L. Bella Conservatory in Banská Bystrica. Currently he is dozent at the Faculty of Composition and Conducting in the Faculty of Musical Arts at the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica.
