Rastislav Suchan is a member of the orchestra Bratislava Hot Serenaders, that participates in the reconstruction of Hot & Sweet Music of 1920s and 1930s of the 20th Century. He is a founding member of ensembles Slovak Brass Quintet, Melos-Ethos Ensemble, and since 2007 he is a member of CZ/SK Big Band of Matúš Jakabčic. His artistic performances are connected also with other orchestras and ensembles such as the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra, Slovak Sinfonietta, Slovak Chamber Orchestra of Bohdan Warchal, United Philharmonic (they played with Plácido Domingo), Viva Musica! Orchestra, Young Bratislava Soloists, Cappella Istropolitana, VENI Ensemble, Solamente Naturali, Nova Brass (Austria), Bratislava Conservatory Big Band, Gustav Brom Big Band, Hot and Sweet Orchestra of Jiří Suchý, Slovak Folk Art Collective (SĽUK), and Lúčnica.

As a soloist he has performed in cooperation with many performers and various ensembles and orchestras, with whom he has attended a lot of music festivals at home and abroad. In performing of chamber music for trumpet and organ he cooperated with organists Ivan Sokol, Ján Vladimír Michalko, Mário Sedlár, Bernadetta Šuňavská, Marek Vrábel and Stanislav Šurin.

From 1993 – 2004 he participated in music recordings for several movies and musicals (66 Seasons, Cabaret, Sugar, Beatles), to the TV Show Horská služba (Mountain Rescue) and to the theatre plays Armagedon na Grbe (Armageddon at Grb), Niekto to rád slovenské (Some Like it Slovak), Odchádzanie (Leaving), and Garderobiér. In the season 2003/2004 he performed in the show I'm an Optimist in L + S Theatre (with Bratislava Hot Serenaders, Milan Lasica and Július Satinský). In 2009 he participated in the international project Ben Hur Live.
