Miloš Valent was from 1986 – 1997 a member of the ensemble Musica Aeterna (artistic director Peter Zajíček), specializing in authentic interpretation of early music. On the basis of experiences he gained in this group, in 1993 he founded the chamber ensemble Solamente Naturali, in which until present he is primarius and artistic director. As a concert master he cooperates also with other ensembles of similar orientation: Tragicomedia, Teatro Lirico, Tirami Su, Fiori Musicali Bremen, Musica Florea Praha, De Nederlandse Bachvereniging Utrecht, Musicalische Compagney Berlin, and Ritornello Prague.

He deserves credit for beginning in 1995 the cycle of concerts Musica Poetica Da Camera in the Slovak National Gallery in Bratislava. In performing of early music he cooperates with the Trnava choir Musica Vocalis, with Choir of Conservatory in Bratislava, Voci Festes, Cappella Nova Graz, and Domkantorei St. Poelten. With Solamente Naturali he has performed many concerts at home and abroad.

With other ensembles he has also performed in many foreign festivals of early music: Boston Early Music Festival, Resonanzen Wien, Holland Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht (Netherlands, 1993, 1994, 1999), Festivals of Early Music in Versailles (since 1989), Internationale Festtage Alter Musik Stuttgart, Vancouver Early Music Festival (Canada), Tage Alter Musik in Herne (1991, 2002), Göttinger Händel Festtage, Robecco Zomerconcerten Amsterdam, Europanische Kirchen Musik – Schwabisch Gmund, Uckermarkische Musikwochen, Musikfest Bremen 1998, 1999, Händel Festpiele 1995, De Musiques sacrees Fribourg (Switzerland), Festival Wiener Klassik 1991, Internazionale Barocktage Stift Melk (Austria), Bach Fest Leipzig, Festival Brezice (Slovenia), Musikfestspiele Potsdam-Sanssouci, Concentus Moraviae, Händel Festspiele Karslruhe, and Festwochen der alten Musik Innsbruck.

He has cooperated with conductors: Stephen Stubbs, Thomas Albert, Manfred Huss, Otto Kargl, Lars Ulrik Mortensen, Andrew Parrot, Christophe Rousset, Olivier Schneebeli, Marek Štryncl, and with choirmasters Dušan Bill, Branislav Kostka, Martin Majkút. As a chamber musician he has performed with a series of domestic and foreign artists (Jozef Lupták, vc, Ivana Pristašová, vn, Peter Spišský, vn, Juraj Kováč, vc, Juraj Struhárik, lute, Ronald Šebesta, cl, Peter Šesták, vl, Eleonóra Škutová, pf, Paul O'Dette, lute, Stephen Stubbs, lute, Erin Headley, vl da gamba, Dagmar Valentová, vn, Alexander Weimann, cmb, Keren Bruce, viola da gamba, Bruce Dickey, zink, Maxime Eilender, harp, Mark Gothoni, vn, and Vladimír Mendelssohn, vl).

Valent belongs to the respected lecturers of playing baroque violin and baroque viola in an international context. He has led master classes in Prague (1998), Malmo (Sweden, 2000), Geneva (Switzerland, 2001), Bremen (Germany, 2002, 2003) and Boston (USA, 2005).
