Tomáš Jochmann was born in 1986 in Prešov and today ranks among the most sought-after pianists on the Czech jazz scene.
Already during his studies at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory, he regularly took part in jazz workshops in Italy with lecturers such as Barry Harris, Kenny Barron, and Aaron Parks. He has performed on European stages alongside numerous world-renowned jazz artists, including Kurt Rosenwinkel (USA), Rosario Giuliani (Italy), Deborah Davis (USA), Sarah Tolar (USA), Justin Echols (USA), and Romina Capitani (Italy).
His playing has become an integral part of performances by leading Czech musicians such as Antonín Gondolán, Filip Gondolán, Ondřej Štveráček, Štěpán Markovič, Tomáš Baroš, Roman Pokorný, Robert Rovina, and many others.
Tomáš Jochmann also leads his own trio. His band frequently accompanies established jazz stars from all corners of the world. Thanks to the ensemble’s brilliant interplay, excellent technical performance, and stylistic versatility, the trio has earned a reputation as one of the most talented jazz bands in the Czech Republic.
