The ensemble of early music Thesaurus Musicum was founded in 2015 in Žilina. It focuses on the interpretation of chamber vocal and instrumental music from the 16th to 18th centuries of European origin (works by composers such as T. Campion, J. Dowland, C. Monteverdi, T. Merulla, J.-B. Besard, Landi, G. Frescobaldi, etc.), as well as music from the territory of present-day Slovakia from that period.
