The women’s chamber choir Les Sirènes (translated as “The Sirens”) was founded in 2018. Its members are graduates of music and music-drama schools, as well as professional singers performing in the Opera of the Slovak National Theatre, the Slovak Philharmonic Choir, and the Lúčnica choir. The choir is conducted by Lukáš Kunst. In its concert performances, the ensemble presents a high level of interpretation, supported by the strong vocal culture of its members. Relatively soon after its founding, it achieved a gold rating and became the winner of its category at the 6th International Music Competition Bratislava Cantat II (2018). The choir is gradually building its repertoire, a large part of which consists of Czech music by composers such as Dvořák, Martinů, Eben, Janáček, and others. It has also collaborated artistically with several orchestras and soloists (Haydn Chamber Orchestra, Ensemble Band, Dominika Hanko, Sisa Sklovská, Otokar Klein, David Árva, Eva Dovcová, and others).
