The choir was founded in 1982, and its founder, choirmaster and artistic director is Magdaléna Rovňáková. The choir is part of a private artistic school and its members are an average of 90 boys aged 7-22 years. It cooperates with leading professional ensembles and institutions such as Slovak Philharmonic, Slovak Radio, Slovak National Theatre Opera, State Opera in Vietnam, where it often performs alongside excellent singers under the conducting of world conductors.
The choir is the winner of many awards and prizes (eg. 1st prize at the International Choir Competition in USA in 1995) and it is a leading representative of our performing arts on concert and opera stages at home and abroad (it performed in almost all European countries, USA, Canada, Japan, Taiwan...).
The ensemble has a broad repertoire of sacred and secular music.
