O hudobnej pedagogike – úvahy huslistu-učiteľa

The author of this publication, Mikuláš Jelinek, was active in both Slovak and German musical life during the second half of the twentieth century as a violinist, orchestral musician, distinguished violin pedagogue, and organizer of musical life. The book presents twenty of his reflections on the pedagogy of violin playing and is complemented by interviews with violinists from two generations: Juraj Tomka and the author himself.

Jelinek’s reflections are grounded not only in the traditions of the Central European string-playing school but, above all, in more than fifty years of teaching experience.
