Viliam Figuš-Bystrý belongs to the founding generation of Slovak national music at the turn of the twentieth century. This publication presents his sacred songs in Hungarian and Slovak, setting texts by Lutheran poets (Vallásos dalok, Op. 5, and Náboženské piesne, Op. 62), together with offertories based on Psalm texts composed for use in the Catholic liturgy (Six Offertories, Op. 88, and Six Offertories, Op. 89).
