Pospíšil's Sonata for Cello and Piano, Op. 6, dates back to 1955. This generously conceived work consists of four movements: I. Allegro moderato - II. Adagio - III. Allegro - Trio. Meno mosso - IV. Grave - Con moto. The Sonata had its world premiere 67 years after its creation, in November 2022, and in 2023, it was published for the first time in print as a score and a revised cello part by the publishing house Hudobné centrum.
